Standards
This blog is for the “Community Conversations” teleclass. With this in mind, reasonable community standards will be upheld. Any user of this blog can be banned from the blog at the blog administrator’s discretion or by suggestion from church leaders.
The main rule is “keep it clean.”
Profanity. We have filters in place to block profanity, but anyone trying to skirt around the filters with special spellings will be advised to keep their posts clean at the risk of being banned. From past experience we understand that filters are necessary evil. You may notice some of your legitimate posts are tweaked by a filter. Unfortunately, we have to keep these sometimes overzealous filters in place to maintain the blog standards.
html. Please refrain from posting html links. The blog is strictly for the Community Conversations” teleclass topics. If you feel members of the blog would benefit from a certain link, please email the blog administration and we’ll post it.
Pictures. Along with restricting html, there are no picture posts allowed on the blog. This is a place for the exchange of ideas and information. If you have a great picture relating to the subject and want to share with the membership, please email the blog administrator and we’ll post it.
Malicious posts. Typical back and forth on the teleclass issues is expected and encouraged. But, please discuss the issues in a mannerly way that keeps the best interest of all participants in mind. Differing of opinion is fine, but please agree to disagree. Stick to topics at hand. No personal attacks, no vendettas and no detrimental venting. Approach the teleclass discussions with the goal of finding mutual understanding and respect.
Accountability. If you’re participating on the blog, your identity will be known by everybody on the board. And all comments are tagged with the participant’s IP address. This keeps blog abusers from posting inappropriate material without accountability.
Stay on topic. Make sure you are posting messages that pertain to the subject. We reserve the right to delete any comments that veer off topic.
Have fun. We really do want this blog to be a vital place for lively discussion.
